Yono Gakuin (与野学院日本語学校) was founded in 1988 and is in Omiya ward, Saitama City, 7 minutes on foot from Saitama-Shintoshin Station and 13–15 minutes from the major Omiya hub. The main program is a student-visa Japanese course of 2 years, 1 year 9 months or 1 year 6 months (April, July and October intakes). Classes run in two shifts, 4 lessons a day. The focus is on speaking and listening, and students from countries that do not use kanji get extra kanji classes every day. Mock JLPT tests are held three times a year.

For further study there are recommendation places at universities and colleges (Meikai, Shobi Gakuen, Seibu Bunri and others), help with applications and mock interviews. About 230 students study here now.
